Project Details:
Affordable Kitchen Remodel. This neglected kitchen was given a new life on an impressive budget. A few simple layout changes make the kitchen more functional. A large hemlock beam from a local sawyer supports a once sagging ceiling and opens up the space. Unfinished oak cabinets were purchased at a huge discount and finished on site with a whey-based polyurethane from Vermont Natural Coatings. Discount tile and other careful material purchase kept the project on budget. The t&g pine ceiling is warm and inviting. And fresh paint and new lighting elements finish the project nicely.
